ESMO: Translational Research Fellowhsips |
The Translational Research Fellowships are designed to:a) Provide training in translational research in European centres with an international reputation in the field. b) Improve career development through collaboration with European institutions of excellence. c) Provide the necessary support to develop specific high-quality translational research projects in oncology
a. Eligibility criterias:
- Be a full/Junior ESMO member (or apply for membership).
- Be an oncologists with at least 1 year experience in medical, radiation or surgical oncology.
- Be under the age of 40 years.
- Be proficient in English.
- The candidate’s supervisors in both the host and home institute should preferably be Full ESMO members.
b. Application must include:
- Completed online application form.
- Digital photo
- Detailed description of research project proposal including timeline.
- Brief statement of project goals and how the acquired techniques will be used in the home institute/country.
- Name of host institute and acceptance letter from the person responsible for the project at the host facility.
- Letter of recommendation from the candidate's department head.
c. Amount and duration:
- 35,000€ for 1 year. Second year prolongation, including additional 35,000€, upon request and subsequent approval.
- Host insitutes receive 1,000€ for administration cost.
