The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) has launched its 1st Call for proposals under IMI 2, giving researchers from diverse sectors the opportunity to participate in ambitious public-private partnerships that will pave the way for the development of the medicines of the future.

IMI warmly encourages small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), medium-sized companies, patients’ organisations, regulatory authorities, academic teams, industry, hospitals and other organisations to form consortia and apply to participate in the new IMI projects.

This Call for proposals has two topics:

ƒÞ Translational approaches to disease modifying therapy of type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM)

ƒÞ Discovery and validation of novel endpoints in dry age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
