Object: The long-term support of basic medical and related scientific programmes in transplantation is a core objective for the Astellas European Foundation. Therefore, the Foundation is now ready to consider the support of research proposals and programmes from individuals or teams that contribute to advancements in transplantation.

Requirements: The grant is available only to those individuals or teams, based within research units or institutions, who are prepared to conduct extensive and meaningful research to advance our understanding of medicine and health. The therapy area of focus for this research must fall within the field of transplantation.

Funding: A grant of US $150,000 is available to cover the full salary of individual/s involved in the research and/or a contribution towards the project running costs
