ESC EACVI training grants |
The European Association Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) is proud to announce the launch of its first Training Grant programme, open for members of an ESC Member Country or EACVI Sister Society country!
Purpose
To provide an opportunity for specialised training in the field of non-invasive imaging modalities (Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT), in order to help young doctors to achieve experience and skills in a high standard clinical centre or University with a large domain expertise within an ESC Member country other than their own.
Eligibility
- 35 years of age or less on the day of application deadline
- Members of the EACVI Club 35 of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI)
Citizens or permanent residents of an ESC Member Country or EACVI Sister Society country
Medical graduates at any stage in their career
In agreement with an host institution
outside their own country or the country in which they followed their initial medicine training (if it is a regular ESC Member Country)
which not only offers good training opportunities and is acknowledged as an expert centre for that particular field of cardiovascular imaging.
IMPORTANT: The final validation of the application will be subject to visa acceptance (if necessary).
Duration and Funding
The Grant may be held for a period of 3 to 6 months. The recommended training period is 6 months. Applications for training periods shorter than 3 months will not be accepted.
EACVI Training Grant recipients will receive a sum of 1,500 Euros per month for their daily subsistence.
Research areas
Submitted proposals should focus on specialised training in technique(s) related to the field of non-invasive imaging modalities (Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT).
Deadline
Internal VHIR deadline: 23 September 2015
Official deadline: 30 September 2015. Candidates should submit their applications in advance, preferably by mid June, so that they may be advised of any missing elements in time to be able to contact those concerned.
