Human Frontier Science Program Long-Term Fellowships |
The Human Frontier Science Program launches its Long-Term postdoctoral Fellowships.
Aim: To encourage early career scientists to broaden their research skills by moving into new areas of study while working in a new country.
Eligibility criteria:
- To have a PhD in a biological discipline
- To propose a project in the life sciences which is significally different from their previous PhD or postdoctoral work
- To have at least one lead author, full-lenght research paper - accepted/in press/published - in an international peer-reviewed journal by 25 August 2016 -. All paper must be written in Enlgish.
- They cannot have started working in the proposed host institution or host country prior to 1 April 2016

Duration: 3 years
Fellows can either use the third fellowship year to continue work in the host laboratory, to return to their home country, or to move to another HFSPO
member country. Additionally, all fellows are eligible to apply for the HFSP Carreer Development Award (300.000 USD to initiate an independent laboratory).
Eligible costs: Salary, research and travel allowance, living allowance.
Uneligible costs: Overheads, health insurance costs or other benefits.
Deadlines:
- Password registration and initiation (to obtain a reference number): 11 August 2016.
