The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society launches its Translational Research Program for 2018.
Aim: The Translational Research Program puts you on the bench-to-bedside fast track when it comes to finding better treatment and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funds new and innovative research that shows high promise for translating basic biomedical knowledge to clinical application.
One of the program's principal intents is to permit the acquisition of sufficient data to apply to an appropriate agency or sponsor for sustained support.
Eligibility criteria:
- A Principal Investigator may only submit ONE application per application cycle
- A Principal Investigator cannot serve as a Principal Investigator OR Collaborator on more than ONE application per cycle
- A Collaborator CAN serve as Collaborator on more than one application with no limit.
- To hold an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree
- Applicants must work in domestic or foreign non-profit organization
Duration: 3 years (Grants are eligible for an additional two years if they include an approved clinical trial and a fully justified research plan).
Budget: $200.000 per year ($180.018,00 direct costs + $19.982,00 overheads - or 11,1% -)
Eligible direct costs:
- Personnel (salary, wage, or stipend)
- Supplies & Materials
- Equipment Purchase (requests must identify each item of equipment with an acquisition cost of more than $500)
- Travel Expense (requests cannot exceed $1000 per year of the award)
- Other Direct Cost requests can include patient care costs
