The European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) has established the Clinical Diabetes Research Programme in Macrovascular Complications of Diabetes, supported by a research grant from AstraZeneca.

Object: To stimulate and acclerate European clinical research, and encourage projects aimed at advancing current knowledge in this field.

Eligible criteria:

- Applications are invited from single non-profit institutions or groups of such institutions from Europe and associated countries.

- The principal investigator and any co-investigators must be employed full-time at a non-profit institution and the study must be performed at their place of work.

Amount: Up to 300.000€ (Funding exceeding 300.000€ will only be considered in exceptional cases).

Duration: Up to 3 years
