The Alzheimer's Association launches its Research Grants (AARG) for 2017.

Postdoctoral Fellowships:

Aim: Postdoctoral fellowship awards are intended for young researchers in their final stages of mentored training. These awards fund projects in an established laboratory that will serve as the basis for the applicant's own independent research career.

Eligibility criteria:

-  Postdoctoral Fellowships are available to junior and senior postdoctoral fellows. Applicants with pending appointments are eligible to apply, but the appointment must be finalized by the start of the award.

-  The proposal should be initiated by the postdoctoral fellow and not the supervisor.

- Investigators who are less than 10 years past their doctoral or post residency (MD or DO)

- Investigators that are new to Alzheimer’s and related dementia field of research even if past the 10 years

- Other junior faculty members will be accepted: Instructor, Research Associate Scientist, etc. In that case, a letter of employment must be provided (indicating they will have a full-time faculty position of an Assistant Professor and above by the award date)

Budget: $150.000

Duration: 2 years
